The fight for good governance in Nigeria is a collective cause and it begins with electing leaders that are the choice of the people. The main aim of PUAN is to make the will of the people prevail in every election by fighting electoral malpractices and ensuring transparency right from the polling units down to the collation centers.
As the largest body of independent election observers in Nigeria, we have ambassadors from every state in the country. Our target is to have at least five ambassadors at each and every one of the 176, 846 polling units in the country. This is the citizens’ project!
Did you know that PUAN has raw election results from over 5,000 polling units in the last presidential election? Yes, PUAN election observers sent in direct reports from their polling units even before it gets to INEC office. We are collating these to support all the political parties that requires it to either ensure or sustain justifiable election outcome.

As PUAN ambassador, YOU are an additional light of transparency in the process, and an additional hope for good governance and a better nation for you, I and the rest of our 200 million countrymen and women especially those that have suffered the most due to bad governance – the vulnerable amongst us.
PUAN does not require volunteers to give up their party membership nor support for their candidate of choice. Instead, PUAN mandates volunteers or members to be highly democratic and to possess the spirit of sportsmanship.
This means that you agree to protect your choice of candidate as well as others’ choices; and you understand and agree that any candidate can win, be it yours or others. Hence, you agree not to be violent before, during and after elections.
